Abstract

"The gold standard dataset for Predictive Maintenance (PdM). Simulates engine degradation over time to predict Remaining Useful Life (RUL)."

Description

Generated using NASA's C-MAPSS simulator, this dataset tracks the degradation of large commercial turbofan engines under varying operating conditions.

Data Features:

  • 21 Sensors: Readings for temperature, pressure, fan speed, etc.
  • Operational Settings: 3 settings that define the flight mode.
  • Run-to-Failure: Data continues until the engine fails.

Goal:

Predicting the RUL (Remaining Useful Life) to prevent catastrophic failures in aviation.
