Smart Home Intrusion Detection Dataset — 7 Attack Scenarios
Abstract
"Smart home traffic captured under normal operation and seven multi-stage attack scenarios across heterogeneous end devices. CC BY 4.0, published 2026."
Description
Overview
A smart home intrusion detection dataset captured under normal operation as well as from seven different multi-stage attack scenarios that can arise in a smart home environment hosting end devices of heterogeneous nature.
Why it is useful
Multi-stage attack scenarios are recorded as scenarios rather than as isolated packets, which makes the dataset suitable for evaluating detection methods that need to recognise an attack from its progression rather than from a single anomalous event. The heterogeneity of the end devices reflects a realistic smart home, where security appliances, media devices and low-power sensors share one network segment.
