Overview

The UCI Air Quality dataset contains real-field measurements from an air quality chemical multisensor device installed at road level in a significantly polluted area within an Italian city.[web:46][web:53][web:77]

Data Collection

  • Data were recorded hourly from March 2004 to February 2005, yielding 9,358 time-stamped instances.[web:46][web:53][web:77]
  • The device consisted of an array of 5 metal-oxide gas sensors plus reference analyzers for several pollutants.[web:46][web:53]
  • The monitoring station captured both pollutant concentrations and basic meteorological variables.[web:53][web:77]

Variables

  • Date (DD/MM/YYYY) and Time (HH.MM.SS) for each observation.[web:46][web:53]
