Catalog Summary

"1,143,070 rows across 80 activity traces from 10 participants; each trace has 78 fields from five IMUs, a smartphone and activity/fatigue metadata."

Catalog Notes

Overview

WHAMAP release 1 contains five lower-limb IMUs and smartphone sensing from 10 participants. Its README specifies 50 Hz sampling, five activity categories, and fatigue levels 0–4 annotated according to the Borg scale. These stored levels should not be assumed to be the original unmodified Borg score.

Measured structure

The 80 trace CSVs contain 1,143,070 rows, each with 78 columns: 4 metadata fields, 65 wearable-sensor fields and 9 smartphone fields. There are 1,875 empty trace cells. Activities use the source strings seating, stend, walking, uphill and squating; dynamic activities also have second-block _B files.

Parsing and units

Wearable acceleration is documented in g and angular velocity in degrees/s; smartphone acceleration is in m/s² and angular velocity in rad/s. User_data.csv has 10 data rows with 7 fields, but unquoted commas inside its header split that header into 11 CSV fields. Repair the header interpretation before loading it as a conventional table. The catalog counts refer only to activity traces.
